Getting Started
Download Choco Bin, launch it, and connect your cloud services. No account creation, no signup, no credit card required.
Yes. Choco Bin is completely free to download and use. There are no hidden fees or subscriptions. All features are available to everyone at no cost. We offer pay-what-you-wish option if you'd like to support development.
Choco Bin requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. It works on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs (2018 or newer).
Features & Functionality
No. Files are encrypted on your device before uploading. Cloud providers receive only encrypted data they cannot read or analyze.
Choco Bin currently supports Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud, and OneDrive. You can connect multiple services at once and combine all of them into one unified storage pool. Additional cloud services may be added in future updates.
Choco Bin requires an internet connection to function because we don't store temporary data locally for security reasons. If you have internet access, you can continue using Choco Bin even if one cloud service is down. You'll access your files through the other connected services. However, you cannot use Choco Bin if you have no internet connection or if all your connected cloud services are offline.
You can combine all your free cloud storage accounts. For example: 15GB (Google Drive) + 2GB (Dropbox) + 5GB (OneDrive) + 5GB (iCloud) = 27GB total. If you upgrade any cloud account, Choco Bin will use that storage too.
No. Choco Bin does not operate its own cloud servers. Your files remain stored on the cloud services you already use. Choco Bin encrypts and manages files across your existing cloud accounts. You remain in control.
Security & Privacy
Yes. Choco Bin protects your files with post-quantum keyless encryption, or optionally with NIST FIPS 203 ML-KEM. All encryption happens on your Mac. Your files never pass through our servers. For technical details, see our How It Works page.
No. We can't access your encrypted data. There's nothing to sell or share.
Uninstall the app. Your files stay on your cloud services exactly as they are. We don't store your data, so there's nothing to delete on our end.
Yes. We don't store your data on servers, so we can't compromise it. Your files stay under your control, which meets GDPR and other privacy requirements.
